ABOUT THE

LEAD HERBALIST

Jumbo & Imhotep divine herbal seekers welcome to the Indigi Golden Herbal Academy platform.

I am a Yoruba devotee, certified herbalist, landscape designer, doula, and have a Bachelors of Science degree in Alternative medicine with Everglades University. For the past several years I have lived very close to the earth and learned how to speak the language of nature and the plants. I have been shown how to deeply commune with these spirits from elders and community. Along with this connection to healing plants coming from my Ancestors! My lineage has practiced natural medicine forever except for the past generation, who traveled from South and North Carolina during the Great Migration to the midwest. My grandparents grew up tending live stock, gardens, fetching well water, harvesting coals and raised my parents with very few amenities. 10 children to a 3 bedroom one story home in the sticks of Illinois. My parents still had to boil their water for a hot bath and were blessed to be raised on food from their gardens, fermented canned foods, and traditional Afro-Indigenous meals. My grandparents never went to the doctors, and my parents didn't either, save for a handful of times such as stitching my moms arm that she had broken playing as a child. This was common for blacks growing up in south or rural areas. Black Castor oil, was a cure all and so was fish oil. My parents had a small garden for us growing up and my mother maintained a relationship with alternative healing arts. For a year I worked at an Apothecary in Ojai California, and have been spending countless hours getting to know many plant medicines in a clinical light while simultaneously studying alternative medicine, naturopathy, and Indigenous medicine ways.

I was told by a very magikal elder to bring forth this knowledge to larger community. Thus our online herbal platform.
